Lead[edit]

Writing and development[edit]

  • "Americano" was influenced by the events" → source provided only explains the issues on their own, doesn't correlate with the song only on the next paragraph.
  • Issues with Idolator source as you have a big quote taken from there, try to reduce it use your own words intercalated with the Garibay quote, would be my advice.
    • You are correct, and since it actually did not contribute anything to the article what was already present, I removed the quote. —IB [ Poke ] 06:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Recording and composition[edit]

  • "uncredited songwriting from Cheche Alara who composed the Spanish lyrics" → you can't use the liner notes for this part if its not credit, her absence doesn't mean that she wrote it, it's a fallacy.
    • Correct, I tried to find reliable source for Alara, but it seems that although he might have written the Spanish lyrics, there's no way to reliably source it. Therefore I have removed it. —IB [ Poke ] 06:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Source number three should be at the end of the sentence as "castanet" is not on that source but on the RS one.
  • Last reference on this section doesn't talk about anything like that.
    • It does, I added the subscription tag to it since you would need to buy the physical magazine to read the whole interview. There are separate whole paragraphs about many of the album tracks like "Heavy Metal Lover", "Highway Unicorn" etc. —IB [ Poke ] 06:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
      • I had no idea of such, you did weel by adding that subscription required tag so more users don't have the same trouble as I did. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:44, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Critical and commercial reception[edit]

  • The recording was met with mixed views from music critics (linked) → first sentence or something like this on this vein to corroborate the lead.

Live performances and media usage[edit]

"Gaga debuted the song in Guadalajara, Mexico on May 3, 2011, during The Monster Ball Tour. She said in Spanish "Escribí ésta canción acerca las injustas leyes de inmigración en mi país. Queremos justicia" (I wrote this song about the unjust immigration laws in my country. We want justice). An acoustic version of "Americano" was performed in both dates." → Source? "along with the other songs performed on the episode." → source doesn't cover this sentence or I have no idea what you mean.

  • Corrected all of them. —IB [ Poke ] 06:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Credits and personnel[edit]

  • Please put the studios above diving into two sub-sections recording and personnel.
    • Not done. There is no particular format for this and for album articles I can understand. But strictly not necessary for song articles. —IB [ Poke ] 06:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Charts[edit]

  • Strongly advise you to archive the korean chart as it goes dead quite often.

References[edit]

  • Daily Mail is not a quite reliable source as it is a tabloid. If you could find another would be great
    • Replaced with Heavy.com, a New York online news media website. —IB [ Poke ] 06:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
