Interesting problem, finding independent sources for an organization that is so much the dominant power in its field that it publishes essentially all the standard sources. I added a standard textbook.DGG (talk) 01:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An organization like the AMA is run and governed by volunteers who are themselves professionals in this industry. No one person sets the standards.
