I added a bit to the modern times section. Football is a major component of the culture of both of these nations and it is interesting to see how the French-Algerian colonial relationship still permeates through to this aspect of every day life in modern times.

Hello, I've done what I can to improve this wiki-page. I added a brief introduction paragraph and also added more information on the history. I decided NOT to use the sources of encyclopedia Britannica and Al Jazeera as these sources would NOT have been in the public domain, thus taken down. All in all, the last part of the wiki page was written well. I will still attempt to improve this page, maybe by adding a few pictures or more information. Perhaps I've missed a few grammatical issues with the wiki page, I'll be looking to fix these problems. Constructive criticism is appreciated WMustafaT (talk) 18:47, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the following image to the wiki-page. Any ideas as to what else, or how else I can help change the page is much appreciated.

Just thought it would help improve the page.

New wikipedian, help needed[edit]

Hello, I'm new to wikipedia - this is the first article I'm going to try and improve. I'd like the communities feedback on what I'm considering on improving about this article. Firstly, I want to make the article more complete, perhaps add pictures and more information. (Improving the history and adding an introduction paragraph is my main goal here). I'd like to know if sources like Aljazeera, for example, or encyclopedia Britannica would be sufficient enough to improve the article. How many sources are usually required to make sure an article complete/ verified? Thanks! WMustafaT (talk) 02:49, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is still a problem in the article, I will try to fix it. WMustafaT (talk) 15:51, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've looked through the wikipedia page, and edited it. I could not find the image. I figured someone else already deleted it. WMustafaT (talk) 19:14, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rendering error[edit]

The last two paragraphs of the section "World War II" are not displayed properly. Perhaps this is a computing error. --Son-of-my-comfort (talk) 05:59, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

don't know what this says, looks important though[edit]

In 1943, a group led by Ferhat Abbas, the end of the colonial period, the establishment of an independent state at the end of the war,a new proposed to be effective in management of Algerians, and the release of all prisoners of conscience in the allied forces, presented a proposal containing such substances.

Modern modified[edit]

I added an actual event of a football game being disrupted to further describe the tensions between France and Algeria. I also added a quote from a French soccer player giving his take on racism in France today. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgecrews98 (talkcontribs) 22:08, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Settling Algeria[edit]

I reworded the information that was already in this section to follow a more logical timeline as well as added more specific details on existing information. This included adding dates of the different French Republic's and certain names that give more context to the colonization of Algeria. In addiction, I elaborated on the processes that were only mentioned before such as the conversion of Algerian government models to French models and the transfer of responsibility between government positions. If anyone has more information on this subject, please feel free to add!
