List of works; location of manuscripts[edit]

An editor added a list of the composer's works. It looked good, but as it is completely uncited I have deleted it for now. If we can get citations it will be a valuable addition. Not so sure about another addition - the location of manuscripts: perhaps not of encyclopaedic interest? Tim riley talk 18:57, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the location of the manuscripts and name of publisher are not of encyclopedic interest. I agree that the list of works can be included if adequately referenced per WP:V. -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:40, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If the editor who added the list can supply a source, well and good. If not, I'll have a go myself. Tim riley talk 11:00, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In the absence of cited information from the author mentioned above I have obtained and added it from Grove, duly cited. Grove's single-word mention of "songs" is not altogether satisfactory, and I'll see what I can find in a further rummage in the archives. Tim riley talk 09:31, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

These additions should have been allowed to stand. It is quite sad to see legitimate entries reverted. It's a good reminder of why I no longer contribute here. Marc Shepherd (talk) 14:04, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Marc, if you add the citations, per WP:V, we would be happy to let the list of compositions stand. To snipe from the sidelines without adding any citations is not helpful. -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:25, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
