Infobox and lead[edit]

  • Lindita is only sourced as the entrant, not a songwriter unlike the infobox lists her as – she is listed as Lindita in the infobox/lead but under her full name in the body; use only one of the two throughout for consistency, probably her real name because that is what all the sources use
  • Target Radio Televizioni Shqiptar to RTSH
  • "thirteen times since its" → "13 times since its" per MOS:NUM

Background[edit]

  • "thirteen times since its" → "13 times since its"
  • "finishing in the seventh place," → "and finished in the seventh place,"

Before Eurovision[edit]

Festivali i Këngës[edit]

  • Target Radio Televizioni Shqiptar to RTSH
  • "and Albanian actor Kasem Hoxha." → "and actor Kasem Hoxha." since the other person in this sentence being introduced as Albanian makes this one's nationality clear
  • "In September, the broadcaster" → "In September 2016, the broadcaster"
  • "their intentions to participate in the following edition of the Eurovision Song Contest." → "the country's intentions to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017."
  • "it published a provisory list" → "RTSH published a provisory list"
  • "of the competition." → "of Festivali i Këngës."
  • "On 19 December," → "On 19 December 2016,"
Competing entries[edit]
  • Add the appropriate source(s) to the top of the table
  • Target Lindita Halimi to Lindita (singer)
Shows[edit]
Semi-finals[edit]
  • "while the highlighted contestants progressed to" → "with the highlighted ones progressing to"
  • Target Lindita Halimi to Lindita (singer)
Final[edit]
  • Remove wikilink on Eurovision Song Contest 2017
  • Add the appropriate source(s) to the top of the table, but you can keep the votes one in its current place since it is only used for those stats
  • Target Lindita Halimi to Lindita (singer)

Promotion[edit]

  • Remove wikilink on Eurovision Song Contest
  • "the singer embarked on a" → "Halimi embarked on a"
  • "at various Eurovision Song Contest-related events," → "at various events related to the contest,"

At Eurovision[edit]

  • "although, the top ten countries" → "although the top 10 countries" per MOS:NUM
  • It is not sourced that the draw took place at the Kyiv City Hall, while the city is
  • "for the 2017 contest" → "for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017"
  • "in position 4," → "in position four,"
  • The last sentence is completely unsourced
  • "in the contest." → "in the Eurovision Song Contest."

Voting[edit]

  • "on both the" → "for both the"
  • "the country finished in" → "Albania finished in"
Points awarded to Albania[edit]

Final comments and verdict[edit]

  •  On hold until the issues are all fixed, but the biggest problem was the inconsistency in referring to Lindita Halimi. --K. Peake 14:57, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the review Kyle Peake, much appreciated. I fixed all the issues.--Lorik17 (talk) 16:07, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Iaof2017  Pass after you have covered everything brilliantly! --K. Peake 16:45, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Flyby comments: Reference 10 links to an article about the 2018 contest. I think the link just needs to be fixed. Re: Lindita vs Lindita Halimi, we need to use just "Lindita" as that is how she was listed at the contest. The background section should contain 3 paragraphs, performance, selection process background, and broadcaster explanation. Other than that, looks good! Grk1011 (talk) 16:50, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Grk1011 Many thanks for your good faith comments, but the background section is fine as it is since the other parts you mentioned have tables and it will be awkward having all of them in background. As for the link, I accidentally missed that; it is the only fix needed. --K. Peake 16:59, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The background section is more of a requirement for the WikiProject. We have an established format in these sorts of articles. I'll take a stab at it. Please see Romania 2020 and Greece 2020 for examples of what this section needs to be. Grk1011 (talk) 17:01, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Grk1011 Albania's participation in the ESC is in interaction with Festivali i Kenges, since it is used (since its debut in 2004) as the national competition to select the nation's entry for the contest. Therefore all relevant informations are given in the Festivali i Këngës section.--Lorik17 (talk) 17:13, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Grk1011 and Iaof2017, even after looking at the other articles, I believe this one does not need the background fixes because of the festival for Albania. --K. Peake 17:22, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I totally agree with you. Lorik17 (talk) 17:28, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Iaof2017 Glad to see you did implement the change that we all agreed on, but I would recommend assessing the article's importance in the Albania WikiProject. --K. Peake 17:39, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The background section would explain what the festival is and that it is used as the selection process. This is a summary article, so it needs to summarize these aspects. Currently it just sort of jumps into it without explaining what it is. It also doesn't explain what RTSH is and its importance. These are pretty universal throughout similar pages and can be found in all of the Good Articles of this sequence (additional examples: Netherlands 2014, Spain 2013, Austria 2014, Malta 2016). These were all done by various editors of the project, not just myself. If we were to diverge from that format, we would need a very convincing argument.
Regarding her name, I think it could be said that she participated in the festival as her full name (per sources), but at Eurovision, the main topic of this article, all sources just use "Lindita". Grk1011 (talk) 19:40, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
