Hotel name[edit]

According to the #2 inline citation, that source does not mention any name change for the hotel.

The source states "Ala Moana Hotel" and never mentions "Americana" as part of its name.

Plus, I stayed at the hotel in August of 1977 and 'all souvenirs I have from the hotel plainly state "Ala Moana Hotel", period.

As such, I suggest that the sentence where it mentions the 1972 name change be omitted or re-written. 2600:8800:785:9400:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 08:55, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Small apology. When I checked the back of a journal I kept at the time, I saw that I had written down the mailing address for the hotel as:

"Ala Moana Americana Hotel"

When I inquired about the "Americana" part, the desk clerk told me that it was only used for mailing purposes since, at the time, "Americana" was not part of the hotel's signage. 2600:8800:785:9400:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 06:15, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
