CryOCed, I can't figure out how to communicate with you on your page so I will leave a message here and hopefully you will see it. I'm not sure what references you need. The Cleveland Infants article on Wiki lists Al Johnson as the owner during the 1890 season. I uncovered in my research of Cincinnati Reds history that Al Johnson purchased the Reds on October 5th 1890 from Aaron Stern and planned to move it to the Players' League. The PL folded so he wound up selling the club to John T. Brush sometime in early 1891 before the baseball season. Still working on a date for the sale. He dumped the club around February of '91.

The newspaper source I used to uncover when he bought the Reds was the Cincinnati Commercial Gazette 10-06-1890
