Adding content and reliable source references[edit]

It was certainly NOT in Wikipedia's best interest to even nominate this article for afd.

In any case, before I spend any time and effort adding content and reliable sources, I need help with a quick policy question:

If one reliable source is a reference for 40 statements in 10 paragraphs in the same article, is it WP policy to add the same exact link 40 times after each and every sentence I add, or is my understanding correct that once the reference is included in an article, it can serve as a reference for the entire article, and those interested editors who have sufficient knowledge about the subject and can understand the language of the subject of the article can easily verify it? If policy allows 40 inclusions, great, please help me out and copy and paste the "exact provision" and state this WP policy that contradicts my understanding that once is enough.Worldedixor (talk) 00:24, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What source would you be using 40 times in the same article? Only thing I can think of is a book about Ah Kong. To answer your question, the source doesn't needed to be cited every sentence, but it does need to be cited enough so that it's clear what information is coming from that source, as opposed to the other sources in the article. Perhaps once per paragraph, if there are entire paragraphs that rely on the source. Also cite any material that's likely to be challenged. Just citing the source once might be good for small/short articles, but for an article as long as this one, it might give the impression that large passages of the article are unsourced. Oh, and the policy in question here is WP:MINREF. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 05:16, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. Worldedixor (talk) 02:02, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removed sections[edit]

I removed many sections, sentences and paragraphs, due to a clear lack of any reliable references, and in many cases even blatantly being false. Many claimed "facts" regardings Dutch law, drug use or the reputation of the gangs and syndicates mentioned in this article are fictitious, and not based on any referenced facts. Untill someone can provide credible sources and references, these sections should stay deleted. 21:01 CET 15 january 2015 Psych0-007
