Suggestion for error correction under 'Aeon of Maat'[edit]

Citing Liber AL 3:34, the article states that Liber AL states that Hrumachis will replace Ra Hoor Khuit at the end of the Aeon of Horus. This is a very bad misinterpretation of the text, which reads "...until the fall of the Great Equinox; when Hrumachis shall arise and the double-wanded one assume my throne and place." This means that Ra Hoor Khuit shall leave the seat in the east he assumed at the Equinox of the Gods, and 'the double-wanded one' shall take it. Hrumachis is a Hellenized spelling of the name of the Egyptian god Hor Em Akhet, which means 'Horus of the Horizons' and is a syncretization of Horus and Ra, see Horus. The simple answer is that it didn't. Crowley developed his Aeonic model sometime after 1915 and while he had likely learned of the Gmostic Aeon model of Late Antiquity from Florence Farr the notion of Aeons has no particular significance to the Golden Dawn system.

Next Aeon?[edit]

Differing Views / Crowley's Views[edit]

The section for differing views had no content/sources for the statement "Not all Thelemites believe in a clear succession of Aeons." I added to the quotation describing Crowley's usage, and the section was later renamed to Crowley's views. It would be appreciated if someone had sources to add a section for a diversity of views.

As this section (Crowley's views) stands now it might make more sense at the top in a section delineating the construct of Aeons, perhaps how it parallels Ages of man, but we would need sources beyond Crowley. ~ Joga Luce(t)(c) 20:29, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
