I plan to contribute a lot to this topic considering it is practically a stub. I want to add a few sections. The first one is illness and medical emergencies because someone who was adopted might inherit a disease or something of the sort. This is dangerous because doctors might not have access to the patient’s family history because there is no access to the adoption records. I want to add a topic called origin. It is often important to people to know where they came from. When a child might not know, this can affect a child in many ways. I believe that sometimes when a child gets adopted, especially at an older age, that child has either abandonment problems or attachment problems. I have a few other things in mind such as Ethnicity and cultural descent, legal names, and closure. I haven’t yet gone into depth about it but this is what I’m looking into adding.MelanieChristy (talk) 17:20, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

- I feel like your topic is great in many different ways its very unique but also so common that people don't understand how often adoption occurs. You seem very passionate about what you are researching and want to look more into which makes the process a lot easier. From first hand experience from being adopted I don't have access to my biological history so every month I go in for testing. Testing includes getting my blood drawn, getting an EKG for my heart, but as well as getting talked to about my physical state of mind. I hope you have fun with your topic looks like you know what your doing and to make a suggestion maybe get first hand experiences of accidents where people were adopted and died or something happened to them because they didn't have their medical history. 1) Maybe you can go more into the adoption papers looking into the legal rights and going more into depth with what you are and are not aloud do when its a closed adoption.

2)But like what i said before is that your topic is very unique and theres so much information you can do with this topic.

3) I suggest that you get a lot of statistic involved to show how many kids are adopted as well as how many know their biological parents or if it was a closed adoption.

4) I can relate a lot to your topic so if you need any help i will be willing to help you i love the research you are doing.
