[Concerns about University grades equivalence][edit]

Are you SURE only 8.5 and above is "First Class"? I can't see any source for that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.33.48.235 (talk) 14:34, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How could the UK equivalent of Lower Second Class be absent? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrishas (talkcontribs) 15:48, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The table of the Greek Grading system comparison (Universities and Polytechnics) is misleading in my opinion. I know it says "approximately" but the way it is formed now conveys the wrong information on a very important topic at a first glance. As an example, Oxford considers 8.5 as a First [1] while Cambridge requires above 8 [2]. The references currently provided in the table are outdated, non-representative and broken. I propose for the table to change so as

  • to mention in a more striking fashion that values are approximate
  • provide intervals rather than single values (e.g. [8 or 8.5 - 10]) and
  • change the structure as "Ἀριστα", "Λίαν Καλώς" and so on do not really strictly correspond to UK's grading. I would do the changes myself but I do not have all the necessary references so as to fully support such a claim. In case someone could provide us with some (more) definite reference, that change should be made. KyriakosSt (talk) 16:06, 12 December 2019 (UTC) [reply]

Discrepancy between pages[edit]

The table in the body of this page has a different translation between Greece's marks and their US equivalencies than the page "Grading systems by country". For example, the linked page claims that Greece's 8.5-10.0 is a US A or A+, but this page lists the same Greek grade as anywhere from a B to an A+. I do not know which is correct, but I believe that they cannot both be correct. 168.135.189.50 (talk) 13:52, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ptychion[edit]

I've seen the term "ptychion" being equated to a 4-year bachelor's degree. It is referenced in English university equivalency requirements, so could find use here for context. Perhaps somebody could slip this term in at the appropriate place in the article? I'm not sure where it best fits. TimothyPilgrim (talk) 14:58, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
