The result of the move request was: not moved. Procedural close as wrong venue; if they are the same person—an assertion that has been contested—the proper venue would be a WP:MERGE. (non-admin closure) Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 00:41, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Abu al-Hasan al-DaylamiAbu'l-Hasan Mihyar al-Daylami – Duplicate article. Mohammed Qays (talk) 11:17, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Not convincing, seem like two different people to me. One is a poet, other is a scholar. They also died in different dates. It's not uncommon for Muslims to have similar names. --HistoryofIran (talk) 13:53, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@HistoryofIran Not true. The first date of his death is ambiguous, but according to the VIAF website, he is the author of the book ʿAtf al-alif al-ma'luf 'ala al-lam al-ma'tuf. Mohammed Qays (talk) 13:58, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please cite WP:RS for your claims. HistoryofIran (talk) 14:14, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just checked to be safe, WP:RS clearly does not consider them to be the same, and does indeed show different death dates (1001/1002 versus 1037, +30 years difference) and one is a scholar and the other a poet [1] [2]. HistoryofIran (talk) 01:29, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
