Abraham Schenck (New York senator)Abraham Schenck (New York state senator) – The current title is ambiguous about whether he was a member of the New York state senate or a U.S. senator from New York. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:17, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. The longer title is unnecessary since there was no U.S. Senator from New York with that name, and the article informs the reader that he was a state senator. But it doesn't hurt anything, either, as long as the more concise title would continue to redirect here. Station1 (talk) 06:55, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I find article titles that exhibit a lack of clarity between positions at the state and federal level to be annoying. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:40, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
