Article does not conform to encyclopedic standards, particularly as outlined under WP:NPOV.

Violating statements: "From her first steps under the spotlight, Abby has been a complete star! She has been named one of the most talented and gifted child actors out there at the moment." "A complete star" according to whom? This notes an opinion that can only be accepted with citation by a recognized expert, such as a well-known film critic. Same is true for "one of the most talented and gifted child actors out there at the moment"—without a reliable source for that opinion, it pushes a POV. This article sounds like it was written by her manager mother. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.231.62.169 (talk) 08:50, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Her actual birth date[edit]

All right there seems to be a conflict regarding her birth date. The internet movie database has her as born on September 16, 1996, while another site has her born April 14, 1996. If only we could call her parents. TripleH1976 Sun 09:14 p.m., 18 June 2006 (UTC)

In general, it's best to never trust IMDb, as anyone can add anything to the site without verification. -- Kicking222 12:18, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
While browsing Wikipedia, that statement struck me as incredibly ironic, for some reason... ;) Mysterius 04:42, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree,I met celebs and they say"Oh,It is the best!!!!" but look at sites we never hear of from celebs, like others I ask them and hey say" Oh, its better if we do not trust them!Oh,God!" They will have viruses also, pop-ups every second,IMDb only every visit, NOT every second. They are much worse websites tha even keep asking you your real name over and over and...(71.96.194.160 03:05, 26 February 2007 (UTC)).[reply]

It's April 14, 1996. I know for sure. Personally, I know her. I could even call her parents and ask if you want me to. I'll even just email Abbie herself (oh and btw she spells her name Abbie NOT Abby just FYI).

So, is her birthday the 14th of april or the 16th of september??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.30.227.124 (talk) 13:30, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know, and until a reliable source can be found, this information needs to be removed. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 13:49, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its April 14! I am that reliable source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cbtbrulesindance (talkcontribs) 20:32, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Means nothing without a citation. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 19:29, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"youngest actress trivia"[edit]

although it's nice to mention Abigail Breslin's nomination and the fact she's one of the youngest ever to be nominated, is it a bit too much to tell EVERY FACT about EVERY ACTOR that was younger than her? Small5th 06:14, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jay Leno Appearance[edit]

The comment about her appearance on Leno and the jokes going over her head is way too much! Who is to speculate as to why she has stage fright?

I know. I did remove it. Fighting for Justice 05:11, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Kim (nee Blecker)"[edit]

I know that her mother goes by her married name, Breslin, but what "Nee Blecker" means is that she was born under the last name Blecker, that's all. That's what the term "Nee" refers to, explicating someone's maiden name, and I don't see why not mention that. Rito Revolto 18:15, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Her maiden name is Walsh. That IS the name she was born under. Check facts again. There plenty of people who can confirm this for you.

POV[edit]

It's great that this young girl is enjoying a lot of success at such a young age. And I understand a lot of statements are reference, however, doesn't there appear to be too much praise for her? I think it can be toned down a little bit. Does anyone else feel like this? Fighting for Justice 04:45, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree...but probably only because she's my friend.

Filmography[edit]

The filmography listed for Abigail Breslin, is actually the filmography of Jim Carrey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sailorgrl11 (talkcontribs) 21:03, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so. Jim Carrey did't act Nim in Nim's Island, or Carolina in Princess Diaries. Plus Jim Carrey is waaaaaay more famous then Abigail.

PLEASE! All The Fine Boys is not a movie, but a stage production on until 26 March. It is being staged at the Pershing Square Signature Center [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.210.196.205 (talk) 04:48, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Musician???[edit]

What is considered a musician? In Wikipedia, I believe that the person must have at-least a charted single to be considered a musician. i.e. Another teen actress who is considered an musician is Annasophia Robb. I don't want to edit war.intelatitalk 03:30, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that she is not notable as a musician and she should not be referred to as such in the article. --BweeB (talk) 20:34, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You are wrong in your assumptions. There are many ways a person is notable in being a musician. They could have a song in a tv show, they could be talked about as being a musician in the "Sacramento Bee." See, Notability for Musicians. Now that's what get's your toe in the door as far as getting an article on wikipedia. But when asked in the infobox for occupation it could easily include the fact they are also a musician. Someone on wikipedia could have a page because they are notable for eating the most hot dogs in 10 minutes. Under occupation it could say "food eater and plumber." New Year's Eve[edit]

Unfortunately, this article, the Lea Michele article, and the New Year's Eve article is being attacked by editors (mostly IPs, but not all), putting in the roles of the actors, even though no reliable source exists (last time I checked) that the actors are actually playing those roles. I have been busy fending off these editors on the film article and just came here when I an editor complained and said the same stuff was also in this article and the Michele article. I am going to revert the editor, but I would appreciate it if others would comment on the issue. I can revert only so many times without having a problem.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:50, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done Thanks for spotting that. –Davey2010(talk) 01:07, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Discography?[edit]

considering she has released several singles and music videos, it might be necessary to mention her music career and possibly add a discography

You can add information about her music career if you like, however be careful not to add overwhelming amount of information about every single of hers. See WP:NSONG and WP:INDISCRIMINATE for more information. Cheers! -- Chamith (talk) 06:03, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In 2007 Abigail starred in The Ultimate Gift. Low-key heartwarmer about a spoiled heir (Drew Fuller) who must find true meaning in his life before he can acquire his inheritance. Fear, inc. missing from filmography.[edit]

She played character 'Jennifer Adams' in "Fear, inc." (released in 2016), according to that film's wikipedia page and her page on imdb.com.

I'd add it in myself, but article is semi-protected at the moment. 96.22.217.191 (talk) 23:47, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thank you for pointing out the omission. Dimadick (talk) 18:47, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
