I have added a bit about the vase, I just saw a documantary about Aalto. Would someone please check and improve my poor English?

Article should be renamed!?[edit]

The vase is called the Savoy Vase made by Aalto. I think it should be renamed in Savoy Vase.

I would do it, but I do not want to decide on my own.

That sounds like a fine idea to me. I think Savoy Vase sounds much better than Aalto Vase, which could in fact refer to any vase he designed. Also Savoy Vase passes the Google test. I think it should be renamed. Gsd97jks 11:52, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've done some further research on this - it seems that the first variant of this vase was actually not the Savoy Vase, but was designed for a competition. Therefore at this point I'm actually going to reverse my opinion and say that the page should not be renamed. I'll update the article at this point as well. Savoy Restaurant locale??[edit]

I'm finding conflicting information about the location of the Savoy restaurant. The Wikipedia article says Paris, but other websites say Helsinki. Can anyone confirm? Gsd97jks 11:55, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the restaurant [1] is in Helsinki, at Eteläesplanadi 14 [2]

Original inspiration[edit]

Wondering if anyone can comment on how much this reference: http://formin.finland.fi/Public/Print.aspx?contentid=66087&nodeid=17396&culture=fi-FI&contentlan=1 proves the vase was inspired by a Sami woman's skirt?
