NQA-1 Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 This is the current version of many nuclear quality assurance standards developed beginning with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and continueing through American Nuclear Society N18.1 and American Society of Mechanical Engineers N45.2. The intent of these standards is to assure that nuclear safety related equipment designed to prevent or mitigate certain nuclear safety issues and accident scenarios, work as intended. Anyone seeking a basic background should see the US NRC website and review (title) 10 (code of federal regulations)CFR Part 50, Appendix B, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Safety Related Systems, Structures and Components (equipment)

  • This site was redirected to Article ASME in June 2012. However, none of the information from the site was transferred with it. As it appears today the ASME article focuses on the broad value of ASME and details such as this article contains don't seem warranted. Still a wiki novice here, but undid the redirect. I look forward to any feedback on the move and contining to add value to the article. --Norm Moreau (talk) 00:10, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
