Dead people being nominated[edit]

The Oboe Concertante by Margaret Sutherland, featuring Jiří Tancibudek (oboe), with Patrick Thomas conducting the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra was nominated for an award. Anyone hazard a guess how this recording, made a number of years earlier, got into the 2008 awards? By that time, Jiří Tancibudek himself had been dead for 4 years, and the concerto was recorded well before he died. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 21:46, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
