If the 487th Air Exp. is really the successor of the 487th Tactical Missile Wing, then I can assure you that that unit was stationed at Comiso AB, Sicily, I was there. Thepiedpiper 12:45, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Per WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME An article about a unit, formation, or base should generally be placed at " the official name used by the armed forces to which the unit or base belongs. When a unit or base has had multiple names over the course of its existence, the title should generally be the last name used. The exception for cases where the subject is clearly more commonly known by one of the previous names does not apply. The 587th Tactical Missile Group article is little more that the unit's lineage details and length of the article is not a problem. --Lineagegeek (talk) 21:31, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
