2024 Indian farmers' protest[edit]

created this article. please help in expansion RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 12:58, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

These two articles created on the same day are about the same topic. 2024 Indian farmers' protest is the correct punctuation for the title. Wikishovel (talk) 13:04, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support just do it, it's a basic application of common sense. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:10, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agree about the punctuation but I guess Indian farmers protest is also not wrong (protest as verb and not as noun). Kindly consider merging this article with 'Indian farmers protest' as it was created first and has much more content... I have also nominated it for ITN. Thanks Davidindia (talk) 13:14, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The title is about a protest (noun), so "protest" is not being used as a verb in this case. The possessive punctuation is also used on all other WP articles about farmers' protests: please see Farmers' protest. Wikishovel (talk) 13:30, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. Kindly merge it with '2024 Indian farmers' protest'. Thanks! Davidindia (talk) 15:08, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've boldly went ahead and  Done this. Aaron Liu (talk) 23:59, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but the consensus so far is to merge to 2024 Indian farmers' protest, so I've restored the merge templates. Wikishovel (talk) 07:55, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection request[edit]

Just requested semi--protection for this page. RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 11:12, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Self-contradictory[edit]

I just added a self-contradictory template, as the article seems to be both saying the protests are ongoing, and have ended. The lead sentence says the protest are "ongoing", while infobox only says they took place on 13 February, not 13 February-Present. It would be good to get some clarification on this. 2G0o2De0l (talk) 14:45, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
