Only 12 teams?[edit]
Did the FIBA reduce the number of available spots for their Women's World Cup? Since 1990, there have always been 16 spots for this tournament. Why would they reduce it to 12? For cutting the costs? Or because the level of women's game is too low and there is a serious lack of quality teams participating in this tournament? How would they reallocate these spots?
