Title of the article

Number of nations?

This article says 54 nations/teams but this one (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Nations_League#Format) says 55 (but also says 4 groups of 12 + 12 + 14 + 16 = 54 which obviously doesn't add up) and this one (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2020#Qualification) also says 55. When UEFA announced the format, Kosovo had not yet become an UEFA member. This has led to some confusing regarding the format as UEFA has only released format for 54 teams when there will be 55 teams in the competition (Kosovo will be allowed). Some editors have been adding an extra team in division C (most likely), but as the new format is not confirmed by UEFA we should not change it yet. The articles should say 55 teams will participate, but format is currently for 54 teams. Qed237 (talk) 14:03, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

Repeat fixtures for Nations League & main qualifying

Is it possible for two teams in the same Nations League group to be in the same group for the main qualifying for example Azerbaijan and Kosovo? Mobile mundo (talk) 19:30, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

The colouring scheme in the map

The colouring pattern red-blue-green-yellow, used in the map to highlight countries competing in Leagues A to D, is completely arbitrary. I suggest a pattern with more natural transitions between the colours, one that is based on the rainbow spectrum: either red-yellow-green-blue, or the other way around, blue-green-yellow-red, given the competition's hierarchical structure that involves promotion and relegation across the leagues. --Theurgist (talk) 22:31, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

3rd Placed Teams in Division C

No, it doesn't. As the article explains, for the ranking of third placed teams, results against the fourth placed team don't count. Nor would it be fair to do so, since 1 group has only three teams and the third placed team in that group would be disadvantaged. Valenciano (talk) 18:30, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

Relegation

Poland isn't relegated yet. Should Portugal win against Italy and lose against Poland, both Italy and Poland will have the same number of points (4 points each). Poland can still avoid relegation on grounds of goal difference. No matter how unlikely that event might be, there's still a possibility.

Also, both Portugal and Spain have the second place guaranteed in Groups 3 and 4 of League A, respectively, therefore avoiding relegation. Mikeroller (talk) 20:56, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

The primary tie-breaker for countries within a group is their head-to-head record. Even if Poland won their last game, they would be eliminated because Italy took four points off them and they only took one back. Falastur2 ^Talk 23:07, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Somebody should provide an explanation why the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers are a criterion. The results are two years old and doesn't reflect the teams' current strength and players. One from each league to Euro 2020?

Since the main qualification is before the Nations League playoffs, it is possible that all of the League A teams will qualify. Is it known what happens then? Will it be filled from lower leagues?

References to FYR Macedonia / North Macedonia

As you may be aware, FYR Macedonia will imminently change its name to North Macedonia (as agreed through the Prespa agreement). Given that the team won their group and are still participating in this iteration of the Nations League, how will naming be addressed? Will all references to the side be changed to 'North Macedonia', or only references from the semi-final stage onwards (with a footnote added)? Domeditrix, this season of the Nations League is over except for the League A finals, which do not involve Macedonia, so no change is required. Also, there will be an upcoming RfC regarding changes to WP:NCMAC, so changes to the name for future competitions will only be made after the discussion has closed. S.A. League C in the Overall Rankings Section

The numbers in the League C table are incorrect and appears to have not been updated. Sadly, I do not know how to update those templates. If anyone knows how to do so please update that table to make it up to date and accurate.
