Peer Review[edit]

From our conversation, I definitely think you should add more information on the benefits of medical marijuana and more about how it is projected to benefit Florida's overall economy. I also think that, even though it may be irrelevant to the overall page, you should include some kind of backstory as to why it was even made illegal initially. What were the main reasons why they wanted it to stay illegal? Big Pharma? "Hurting our children"? Or, just selfishness and greed that comes with the amount of money that companies are making from prescribing opiate-based painkillers. 2601:702:C100:9FDA:3C43:2D43:C15B:6AE3 (talk) 22:30, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The backstory of why marijuana is illegal in the US is given in other articles that are linked in the "See Also" section. The benefit to the FL economy would just be wild guesses. There is a sentence about adding 1.6 billion to the economy. --Frmorrison (talk) 14:42, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. The medicinal benefits are stated in the state legislation, which is covered by the first paragraph. Aside from that, there's the benefit to the economy. At this time, factual information is limited and assumptions in regards to other benefits to the state from the passing of the bill are found in blogs.
