Why is race 3 pole positions indicated? It was not achieved in a qualifying session, nor does it achieve any bonus points. Seems an odd inclusion. --Falcadore (talk) 00:58, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say because it is not easily inferred when looking at the results here. Race 3 pole is obtained via the fastest lap of either race 1 or race 2, whichever is faster. Usually the polesitter is the driver with the FL in race 2, but we've already had the opposite situation in Silverstone. I feel that indicating such a thing is a little bit more informative. Also, there's the Jack Cavill prize for the driver having the most pole positions at the end of the season: that includes also poles for races 2 and 3.
