Merger proposal[edit]

I see that other folks have also been up late watching the news! Hey folks, I like your article and you all have researched some information that the one I started does not yet have. I think this one has better formatting, an image, is already linked to elsewhere, and it more inline with Wikipedia naming conventions. I think we should merge things over here.

What do you guys think? Juno (talk) 08:47, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes please. Sherenk1 (talk) 09:19, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support merge, retaining "Curtis Culwell Center attack" title for article as it is the more complete and objective report of incidents that occurred. Liz Read! Talk! 09:26, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • Why would that be? Our RSs are calling it a terror attack. Juno (talk) 10:44, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support merge would call it "2015 Curtis Culwell Center attack" or just "Curtis Culwell Center attack" -- Aronzak (talk) 10:53, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge, first question is, How fast can we get this merge done? Then let's consider a name keyed to the cartoon issue.E.M.Gregory (talk) 11:12, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge, I created the Curtis Culwell Center attack page and I'm in favor of murging. But, not to toot my own horn, I like my title better. I just feel calling it an all out "terror attack" makes it seem bigger than it was. Benbuff91 14:43, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User:Aronzak, User:Juno, User:Sherenk1 - what do you think of following the headlines by using a name that references the cartoon drawing event?E.M.Gregory (talk) 11:02, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support this would work too. I hate to be a pessimist but it would probably make sense to put a "2015" in front of it. Juno (talk) 11:07, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Good point.E.M.Gregory (talk) 11:11, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Or, 2015 Texas Muhammad Cartoon shooting - trying to include both the location and the nature of the target, which was less the Culwell Center, than the idea of Muhammad cartoons.E.M.Gregory (talk) 11:15, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Having a geographical location as the title is clear and objective. The only certain information that we have is that there was a shooting in this particular place at this time. Also, think of articles that are about shootings at Sandy Hook or attacks at the World Trade Center. Liz Read! Talk! 18:28, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
