Tarting up[edit]

@Jdforrester: Regarding your edit summary "Tart this up a bit to be a bit more like our normal lists", I note that your edits have reintroduced a lot of capitalisation of words that are not proper nouns in violation of MOS:CAPS. You've also introduced links in the section headings, and that is specifically discouraged in WP:LINKSTYLE, where it says: "Section headings should not themselves contain links"

I thus wonder whether it is the other 'normal lists' that need tarting up, as both these departures from the Manual of Style are common with honours lists. I'd be grateful for your thoughts. Schwede66 01:49, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Schwede66: You're more than welcome to start the ball rolling on following the wider standards more generally to these pages; I gave up long ago arguing over it, and just abide by the consensus reached. James F. (talk) 02:36, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I find it rather interesting that other editors are arguing for a departure from the Manual of Style. Is there anybody watching this page who would argue that WP:LINKSTYLE and MOS:CAPS shall not apply? Schwede66 02:39, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Rather than expect people to be watching this talk page like a hawk, you should probably start a conversation on the wikiprojects. James F. (talk) 02:52, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good start for redlink higher honour bios[edit]

The prepped "notes" from the Cabinet Office are always helpful. I'll make a start on them at some point, but everyone should feel free. :-) James F. (talk) 02:51, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
