South Africa qualification critera not satisfied[edit]

South-Africa can still qualify as African champion. In the fall they win, but decide not to participate, like in London 2012, it's b place will be ocúpate for Spain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.204.139.16 (talk) 19:29, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The women's national team of Spain still can qualify to Rio 2016, in fact it's very probably: the winner of the Oceania Cup will be AUS or NZL, otherwise it's no normal, then Japan will be qualified. And at the last qualification tournament, the African Qualifying Tournament, in case of a South African win, they anounced that it will not be considered to send the team to Rio (hier the link). Thus, the declination of the South African team gives the spot to the best team not yet qualified from the World League Semifinals: Spain. Leonprimer (talk) 20:01, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

South Africa qualification dispute[edit]

An anonymous IP user is continuously reverting the final rankings, saying it is impossible for South Africa to qualify. While I am aware of that the South African Olympic Committee will not consider the results of the continental championships as qualifying, they still have a qualification chance in the eyes of the FIH and IOC. Until it is confirmed by the FIH or IOC, South Africa may still qualify. Lcmortensen (mailbox) 22:16, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
