Pilot?[edit]

I noticed that someone wrote "at the wheel of his Kamaz truck, thus becoming the most successful pilot in a single category and in the history of the event..." In the U.S. dialect we would say driver, and in fact Wiktionary doesn't give any indication in wikt:pilot or wikt:driver that there is a regional variation. I'm curious who uses 'pilot' in this context? Wnt (talk) 23:39, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

French - presumably copied from the French based website where the tables aren't translated from English. No reason not to change it to driver. --203.161.138.131 (talk) 00:17, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
