Game I[edit]

Who was man of the match? I can't find it anywhere. Should be mentioned. And after game III, the man of the series (Wally Lewis Medal). I think these are important details.--Jeff79 07:55, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The man of the match was Johnathan Thurston. SpecialWindler 08:25, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The thing with the match info on this page, is that it's less detailed than the match info on the Rugby league State of Origin results and statistics page, which lists not only the points players scored, but how they scored them. I think that info needs to be incorporated into the series pages' match info. These pages really should have the most detail about state of origin matches. And perhaps a summary of the game too instead of just a link to them. Those links may go dead someday. I've seen on some other sports pages they just have a list of point-scoring events in sequence with the timestamp next to each. I thought it was a good way to give info on an important match.--Jeff79 06:13, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Man of the Match for game 1 2007 was Jonathan Thurston.Could someone please tell me when State of Origin 3 is?I cant seem to find it.

Game II[edit]

Eligibility list[edit]

Why do we record the Queensland eligibility list within this article ? I agree it's relevant before the squad has been selected; perhaps even so during the series when others may yet come into the squad. But now that it's over the names of those eligible but not selected are not important anymore. Shall we delete ? - Sticks66 03:06, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No view ? I will delete the eligibility list. I will also delete this players named in the NSW Preliminary squad who did make it to the final squad since it is reasonable to assume they were in the preliminary squad. -Sticks66 02:40, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Surely the eligibility list can go now.--Jeff79 (talk) 01:15, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Citation needed[edit]

Why is it that we need a citation for the assertion that Gidley and Kaufusi wre inujured in game I but none of the various other assertion made in the article ? Every comment about a try, a kick or a play is after all an assertion that could technically do with a citation. But that would be ridiculous. What this article needs is some Sources and References quoted. If such then appear to cover all the details provided in the match report then I suggest the Citation Needed flags can then go. Any more experienced editor agree ? -Sticks66 03:12, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:2006 State of Origin logo.PNG[edit]

Image:2006 State of Origin logo.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with File:Current State of Origin Logo.png[edit]

The image File:Current State of Origin Logo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
