By way of a clarification, because the article is a little bit misleading, Esa Tikkanen was actually more of a reacquisition for the Rangers in March of '97 when he was Traded from the Vancouver Canucks with Russ Courtnall to New York for Sergei Nemchinov and Brian Noonan. He was first acquired by the Rangers in '92-'93, and was a member of the '93-'94 Cup Winning team. Within the context of the '96-'97 season he was a "new addition," this was actually his second tour of duty as a Blueshirt.

Conference semifinals?[edit]

The article seems to skip them, going from the Conference quarters to the Conference finals --David7581 (talk) 01:45, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That is because this page started out as two separate pages for the Conference finals and were then merged to match the standard for playoffs articles. No one has come along since and added that information. Feel free to add information that is missing. -Djsasso (talk) 02:00, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
