Points tables[edit]

Why are there two points tables? Surely we don't need the same information portrayed twice? --Falcadore (talk) 02:49, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In 2006, I started creating these season articles from 2004 backwards, using the one colour-coded table. As I was (very slowly) creating the pages, Doma-w started creating season articles from 1985 onwards with the other tables. Eventually there was an overlap between our two different formatting styles (although I stopped making tables once I had finished the one for the 1995 season).--Diniz (talk) 10:27, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well that explains why, but it does not explain why the unnecessary duplication should be kept. One should be deleted. --Falcadore (talk) 04:00, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps the issue could be raised at WT:MOTOR?--Diniz (talk) 12:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

revisited After having CS-Wolves delete a points table the following quote appears from User:GTHO (Undid revision 247799026 by Cs-wolves (talk) Points determine championships: what could be more relevant than a points table?) I think the point (sic) is that there are TWO points tables and having both of them creates a redundancy. The point I raised back in January to receive the above non-explanation. --Falcadore (talk) 02:54, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I can only see one points table, the one I restored. None of the other four tables show the points scored throughout the season on a round by round basis. To me the redundancy lies in having two tables showing round by round placings although the second one does also add round by round qualifying results.
