The statement "Jim Sillars, the party's other Westminster MP, supported Ewing" would seem to imply that other than Salmond and Ewing he was the only other SNP MP at this time. In fact Andrew Welsh (previously an MP 1974-1979) had been elected for East Angus in 1987, so there was another SNP MP. Equally Dick Douglas, the Dunfermline West MP had been elected as Labour, but joined the SNP in 1990, though I am unclear if this was prior to the leadership election. I wonder if the statements should be changed to "Jim Sillars, also a Westminster MP, supported Ewing"? Dunarc (talk) 22:48, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
