Bobby Deerfield[edit]

I think scenes from this race were included in the movie Bobby Deerfield. Anyone know for sure? ColinClark (talk) 05:02, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Points after the race[edit]

There is a problem with this section of the page. It lists Lauda on 30 and Hunt on 15, but this is not correct as Hunt was disqualified. He was reinstated but that happenned months later. At no point every in 1976 was there a scoreline of 30-15 and it is fictional to suggest otherwise. We should show the points as they were and then later in the season at the appropriate point indicate when the reinstatement occurred and alter the points then. --Falcadore (talk) 23:37, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This was discussed a couple of years ago, but I'm not sure we actually came to a resolution. It's probably worth reviving the discussion at WP:F1 (I suggest raising it there because the same principle also applies to other races; in particular, most of the 1984 season). I have, and I found precedent, Schumacher's points in 97. --Falcadore (talk) 00:28, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Having re-read the discussion, while titled "Standings..." the bulk of the discussion is actually about the race results, not the mini-points tables so it is not that consensus was not reached but the subject was not really debated. The tables however as they stand are entirely fictional and that should not stand. --Falcadore (talk) 00:33, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
