WordPress articles[edit]

Wanting to note that all the articles/references as of this edit can be considered secondary reliable sources. They were written by various people, including John Brasher, a reporter for the Centreville Press. The website is also linked to by the National Weather Service here where they said, “Click here for website devoted to the damage in Brent (Bibb County) from this storm”, where the “Click here” links to the WordPress articles. The U.S. Government links to them, so they can be considered reliable sources for information. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 00:24, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Heroes quote[edit]

Here is a disagreement between editors on which version is better:

Original version: John Brasher, a reporter for the Centreville Press, called the two meteorologists at the Centreville office "heroes", as they “continued their duties, knowing in advance they were probably in the path of a savage tornado”.

WP:BOLD removal/rewording version: John Brasher, a reporter for the Centreville Press, called the two meteorologists at the Centreville office "heroes", as they stayed on the job, knowing they were in the path of the tornado.

  • Original version — The extra quote shows that the impact and shows extra emphasis for the “heroes” call-out the meteorologists received. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 06:17, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@United States Man:. I would appreciate if you discussed the quote here before re-reverting it, after the discussion sat stale for 10 days. You seem to keep saying the same thing "quote not needed", but seem to not be willing to discuss it. I would like for you to comment in here as to why that is. No need for direct quotes. The information can be more professionally and more succinctly displayed in the current format. United States Man (talk) 23:37, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
