SV Furth[edit]

The supposed East German team of SV Furth doesn't ring much of a bell with me. The link leads to VfB Fortuna Chemnitz but there is nothing there about the club ever having carried that name. Could it be that it really is the West German club SpVgg Fürth we are talking about? EA210269 (talk) 23:37, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Might as well be. To be honest I didn't know which club it was so I just searched for "SV Furth" , which returned as first result VfB Fortuna Chemnitz:
The club was formed in 2005 out of the fusion of VfB Chemnitz and SV Fortuna Furth Glösa.
And I assumed that was the one SV Furth that had taken part in IC 1969. Though if you and (now that I investigate it) this source say otherwise I must be wrong. Just be bold and correct it. :) KaizelerTC 10:46, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My own search didn't come up with much other then this saying Fürth holds the 346th position in the all-time table of the Intertoto Cup with exactly the same results as the SV Furth. I think, this points torwards the West German club but I didn't want to alter it till I heard somebody elses opinion. I'm happy to change it now. EA210269 (talk) 10:53, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
