Obtuse Article[edit]

While the text of the article says, "The Republican Party gained control with a slim 2-seat majority after picking up a net six seats", the box at the right indicates a tie 48 to 48 Democrats vs GOP. (PeacePeace (talk) 16:26, 27 August 2019 (UTC))[reply]

Good. But still some explanation is needed. Why is there still the 48 to 48 tie indicated in the box? Were the special elections part of the 1918 election? (PeacePeace (talk) 16:36, 27 August 2019 (UTC))[reply]
