You've got to look at all sources. O'Brien himself is quoted that he sold the Canadiens to Kennedy. Whether the franchise transfer was structured as giving Haileybury's franchise to Kennedy, the team players and management went to Kennedy. They played in the same rink with the same nickname. So, Les Canadiens = Montreal Canadiens. The company name 'Le Club de Hockey Canadien' has been the same since 1909. Alaney2k (talk) 15:26, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
