Hi, Hurricanehink. I will be reviewing this article now. I'm actually kinda impressed the amount of info you found for this and the 1901 PTS, considering this was well over 100 years ago and a non-NHC basin. I do have a few issues that need to be fixed or addressed before I can pass it.--12george1 (talk) 05:10, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm not sure I like how short the lead is. It's just three sentences. I understand that this was an old season and sort of a new type of article, but I think you could try adding some things from seasons later on. From the 1939 PTS, I'm seeing some stuff you could add here, like "most tropical cyclones tend to form in the northwestern Pacific Ocean between May and November" and "the Pacific Ocean, north of the equator and west of the international date line." Also, maybe mention one of the worst typhoons of the season and include the season death toll?
  • I noticed throughout the article that you use the phrases "storm" and "typhoon" at lot. I suggest replacing some with "system", which was only used 4 times, 2 of which were in the infobox.
  • "on July 2 to the east of the Philippines, which" - Wikilink Philippines
  • "of the Philippines, south of Okinawa. The storm moved" - Wikilink Okinawa
  • "the cyclone dissipated upon striking Vietnam on August 23." - Wikilink 'Nam :P
  • "48 hours of strong winds destroyed rice fields and many buildings.[11][4]" - Switch the reference order
  • "On September 11, the typhoon made landfall along southern China southeast of Maoming" ---> On September 11, the typhoon made landfall in southern China southeast of Maoming
  • "A minimum pressure of 987 mbar 29.13 inHg) was recorded" - Missing an opening parenthesis
  • Add an accessdate for reference number 4
  • Reference number 11 needs a date, accessdate, and publisher

All in all, a nice effort at making two historical season articles. Fix or address these issues and I will pass this article.--12george1 (talk) 05:10, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that all of the issues I mentioned were fixed. So I will now pass this article and list it as a GA.--12george1 (talk) 23:07, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
