101 Air Supply 2014[edit]

Dit sal net verkeerd wees as ek as bevelvoerder nie 'n klein bietjie spog oor my eenheid wat nerens genoem word naamlik 101 Air supply Unit.

Eerstens is daar 'n wan persepsie wat ek moet tuis bring. 101 is 'n ondergeskikte eenheid aan 44 Para Regt en so ook 'n inf eenh.

Dus is ek hartseer as al die mooi embleme gegroepeer word en 101 is nerens te sien. Miskien dra die individue nie kennis van hierdie unieke eenh! Die volgende is 'n kort opsomming van wat ons as eenh met totale sterkte van 214 vermag het oor die jaar wat so amper tot die verlede behoort en die sterkte sluit almal in tot die laaste skoonmaker.

2 geslaagde H Lugmag oef te Roodewal waar Kapt Maartens (Shortie), wat haar rug gedurende Okt 13 se oef in die vltg ongeluk gebreek het, weer gedurende Sep 14 uitvoering saam met swaar vrag gevlieg om weer te sien dat alles reg verloop! Hulde aan haar wie tans met 'fused' T10, 11 en 12 soveel passie vir lugvoorsiening het.

Tydens Oef YOUNG EAGLE is die hosp op De Aar neergelaat en 100% diensbaar geland.

Tydens Oef IBSAMAR het ons vir die eerste keer in die geskiedenis 3 PURIBADS neergelaat. Sprong 1 op 4 000vt met bemanning wat 'squares' gebruik het, sprong 2 in gure weer met lae wolke op 1 200vt met bemanning onder pampoene (weer geskiedenis, want uiteraard nog nooit voorheen gedoen) en sprong 3 in baaaie sterk wind op 3 000vt met bemanning onder 'squares'!

Gedurende Nov het die padvinders vir die eertse keer saam met SHERPA gespring in die geskiedenis en die operateur het hom self geland soos in operasie. Ai man dis soet!!

Nou bietjie eenh admin: Gedurende SA Army Inf Fmn prysuitdeling, vat ons 3de vir fin, 2de vir sekerheid en 1ste as fikste eenh in die formasie! Seker maar omdat die bev laasjaar die 3de fikste oor 50 (58) op die Leer kompetisie was en ondergeskiktes ge-inspireer het. Dan was 101 as fikste op eenh vir 14 gedurende H Leer Gala aand gekroon!

O ja net om die ou manne van nuwe ontwikkeling te laat kennis neem. Ons het dubbel opblaasbote (op 1 pallet) met 'disconnect' onder 64vt in die Mozambiekkanaal met 100% diensbaarheid vir oef neergelaat!

Aan my personeel bring ek hulde vir wat julle vermag het! Laat dit die begin wees om die ou manne daar buite te laat weet ons gee gas! Ons praat nie! Ons doen!!

RSM Pre - Schutte[edit]
