Unspecified source for Image:(Just Like) Starting Over.jpg[edit]

I found Image:(Just Like) Starting Over.jpg and noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Someone will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If it was obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. Release date[edit]

jpgr.co.uk has the release date as 24 October 1980. I don't know if one of us is wrong, or whether the discrepancy is due to different release dates in the US and the UK. If the latter, the UK release date should take priority as Lennon was British or, better still, we should mention both. --kingboyk 18:03, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pitch lowered 1/4 tone[edit]

I'm considering adding this note, unless someone has an insight different: Based on the pitches of the song, and the open strings one hears in the guitar, the song was played in the key of A, and the recording was then slowed down in the final so that the key is right between Ab and A (based on 440 A). Alternatively the instruments could have used a A=428. One can assert that, given the popularity of certain technological tricks of the day, and the difficulty of retuning certain instruments to A 415, the recording was slowed down to achieve a certain sound. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.169.9.146 (talk) 02:55, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Subway sounds?[edit]

Most of John Lennon's songs on Double Fantasy were written or at least reworked while on holiday in Bermuda in June 1980 (after sailing from Newport Rhode Island to Bermuda -see http://www.sailthechannel.com/john-lennon-sailing ). I don't have a reference at hand but John would ring Yoko in New York and they would sing the songs they planned for the new album to each other over the phone, the end of Starting Over is a re-creation of that.
