Scotty Middleton (born November 8, 2003) is an American college basketball player for the Seton Hall Pirates of the Big East Conference.

Early life and high school career[edit]

Middleton grew up in Miami, Florida and initially attended Christopher Columbus High School.[1] He transferred to The Patrick School in Hillside, New Jersey after his freshman year.[2] After one year at The Patrick School, Middleton transfrred a second time to Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas.[3][4] He averaged 7.8 points per game National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (NIBC) games in his first season at Sunrise.[5]

Recruiting[edit]

Middleton was rated a four-star recruit by major recruiting services. On August 7, 2022, he committed to playing college basketball for Ohio State over offers from Seton Hall, and UConn.[6]

College career[edit]

Middleton enrolled at Ohio State University in June 2023 to take part in summer practices.[7] He averaged 4.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 30 games as a freshman.[8] After the season, Middleton entered the NCAA transfer portal.[9] On April 24, 2024, Middleton transferred to Seton Hall.[10]
