Santiago López López (born 10 June 2005) is a professional soccer player who plays as a forward for UNAM. Born in Mexico, he is a youth international for Canada.

Career[edit]

López joined the youth academy of UNAM in 2019 at the age of 13. He was the top scorer for the UNAM U18s in Apertura 2018 with 10 goals.[2] He made his senior and professional debut with UNAM as a substitute in a 3–1 Liga MX win over Pachuca on 29 January 2024.[3]

International career[edit]

Born in Mexico, López lived in Canada from the age of 4 to 10 and has dual Mexican and Canadian citizenship. In August 2023, he was called up to the Mexico U18s for a set of friendlies. In February 2024, he was called up to the Canada U20s for 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship qualifying matches.[4] He scored 3 goals in his first 3 games with the Canada U20s.[5]
