Raj B. Shetty is an Indian actor, director, and screenwriter who works in Kannada film industry. He gained recognition through his directorial debut, Ondu Motteya Kathe (2017), which was a huge commercial success. He further cemented it with Gubbi Mele Brahmastra (2019), Mayabazar 2016 (2020), and Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana (2021), which got widespread acclaim and is now considered to be one of the best films of Kannada cinema.[1][2][3]

He has frequently voiced the issues of writers in Kannada Movie industry.[4] Apart from Acting, he is an avid dog lover which was one of his reasons to be part of the 2022 Blockbuster 777 Charlie.[5] He is also credited to have composed the climax portions of the Blockbuster movie Kantara.[6] Raj frequently collaborates with Cinematographer and editor Praveen Shriyan whom he considers one of the pillar of his movies.[7] He also acted in the movie Pedro directed by Natesh Hegde which was a big hit in the film festivals.[8][9]
