Pradhan is a Kshatriya Hindu surname in the Indian subcontinent.

The surname Pradhan originates from the ministerial title Pradhan, the head of a village.[1][2] The title derives from the Sanskrit pradhāna meaning "most important, prime, chief or major".[3]
