The PJ-II Dreamer is a two-seat, mid-wing monoplane.[1] Propelled by ducted fans, the aircraft features a tandem seat layout with dual controls, a retractable landing gear, and composite construction.[2]

Details[edit]

The Dreamer uses a dual ducted fan propulsion system. Compared to a jet engine, a ducted fan system provides a jet-like handling characteristic, but with lower operational costs and complexity. There is no torque and P-factor like with propeller driven aircraft.[3]

Power is provided by a single GM LS6 5.7-liter V8 liquid-cooled piston engine,[3] which produces 388 hp (289 kW). A 450 hp (340 kW) engine option is also available.[1]

The top speed is 218 mph (189 kn; 351 km/h), cruise speed is 187 mph (162 kn; 301 km/h) and the load limit is rated at +4.4/-2.2 g.[2][4]
