"Oyi" is a song by Nigerian singer Flavour N'abania. It was featured on the singer's second studio album, Uplifted (2010), and was released on June 22, 2011. Singer Tiwa Savage contributes vocals to the official remix of "Oyi".[1][2]
Background and music video[edit]
Flavour N'abania and Tiwa Savage composed the remix of "Oyi". Before the song's music video was released, Flavour promoted the song on Twitter.[3] Savage recorded her own version of the song prior to recording the official remix with Flavour. A Nigerian studio served as the location for the "Oyi" (Remix) music video. Unnamed places in Nigeria were also used for filming the original version.[4][5]
Accolades[edit]
The remix of "Oyi" was nominated for Best R&B Single at The Headies 2011. The song's music video won Best R&B Video at the 2012 Channel O Music Video Awards.
