Oliver "Oli" Steadman is a British-South African multi-instrumentalist.
Stornoway[edit]
Steadman is a founding member of Stornoway[1][2] and Official Champion of the Woodland Trust.[3]
365 Days Of Folk[edit]
In 2024 Steadman started 365 Days Of Folk,[4][5][6] a spin-off of Jon Boden's A Folk Song A Day,[7] featuring daily recordings of traditional music, mostly with guest vocalists. The songs thus far have included:

Other projects[edit]
Steadman has worked as a studio producer for artists including Nick Cope,[8][9] and as composer / musical director at the Stephen Joseph Theatre,[10][11][12] while managing & mentoring local musicians including Willie J Healey,[13] The People Versus,[14] and Balloon Ascents / NEVERLND.[15]
In 2013 Steadman founded Count Drachma,[16][17] who were invited to play at festivals from WOMAD to WOOD to Festival N°6, co-headlining London's Southbank Centre with the Mahotella Queens,[18] and filming a documentary with The Guardian's Education channel.[19]
In 2014 Steadman founded music-tech startup Tigmus,[20][21] with Stornoway's touring trumpet player Thomas Hodgson.[22]
Since 2015 Steadman has been endorsed by Aria Bass Guitars,[23][24] touring with 2x basses Detroit 313-DR and Detroit 313-BB.[25]
