Production[edit]

This film began production in early 2007 with Vadivelu initially supposed to be a part of the film. This film is about the mysterious deaths of Indian heroines such as Divya Bharati, Fatafat Jayalakshmi, Monal, Prathyusha, Shoba and Silk Smitha.[1][2] This film was reported to marked the comeback of Kanaka after a hiatus.[3] The film was shot in Chennai, Coimbatore, Pondicherry and in Sri Lanka with Sri Lankan actors.[1] The song "Roja Malare Rajakumari" from Veera Thirumagan (1962), the Hindi song "Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai" from Khal Nayak (1993) and a rhythm from Hero (1983) were remixed and used in the film.[4]

Soundtrack[edit]

The music was composed by Babu Ganesh, who also wrote the lyrics.[5] S. A. Chandrasekhar, Mansoor Ali Khan, Jayachitra and Amresh Ganesh attended the audio launch as guests.[6]
