Mech-Mind Robotics (short for Mech-Mind Robotics Technologies Ltd.),[3] simply as Mech-Mind,[4] is an AI+3D robotics company[5] founded by Tianlan Shao in 2016.[6] The company focuses on industrial 3D cameras[7] and software suites for robotic applications.[8] Its main products include Mech-Eye series,[9] Mech-Vision, Mech-DLK, and Mech-Viz,[10] which can be used in the logistics,[11] automotive, home appliance,[12] and steel industries.[13]

Mech-Mind's products are designed to manage industrial automation applications,[14] including machine tending,[15] bin picking,[16] depalletizing, assembly and more.[17] After its inception, it was funded by IDG Capital[18] and Intel Capital.[19] In June 2021, the company was included in a Frost & Sullivan analysis on advanced manufacturing.[20]

History[edit]

Established in 2016, Mech-Mind made its first public debut at the 2017 Hannover Messe.[21] In 2019, it was backed by Intel Capital.[22]

The company completed a Series C round of financing in 2021, with investors including IDG Capital, among others.[23]

In March 2022, Mech-Mind participated in the MODEX Show in Atlanta.[24] By the end of April of the same year, it had established operations in Germany,[25] Japan,[26] and the United States.[27]
