Mary Wambui is a Kenyan businesswoman.

Born on 12 December 1965, Ms. Mary Wambui Mungai was bred from a humble background in the remote village of Gachika, Gatundu South, Kiambu County.

Currently, Ms. Mungai is the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) having been appointed to the position on 2 December 2022.

Prior to this appointment, she served as a board member in several entities, including the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for seven (7) years, where she was Chair of Finance and all Purposes Committee, and Chair of Corporate Strategy and Enterprise Committee.

She carries a wealth of experience, spanning over 30 years in key managerial positions, business and leadership. Ms. Mungai is a decisive and strategic leader with skills in strategic leadership, financial management, business operations and strategy, communication and delegation, and risk management.

She owns and co-runs a range of multi-million businesses, touching majorly on hospitality and real estate, with over 500 direct employees and over 1,000 indirect employees.
