[NMB 149 och NMB 324]: Liepmann Fränckel var verksam som miniatyrmålare i Sverige under flera perioder. Från åren 1802-1805 är ett trettiotal miniatyrer kända. Under vistelserna i Sverige tog Fränckel starkt intryck av den italienske miniatyristen Domenico Bossi, som arbetade i landet 1795-1801 och 1805-1811. I de båda ovanstående porträtten är influenserna från Bossis stil uppenbara vad gäller såväl miniatyrernas runda format som den överdrivet plastiska modelleringen och de markanta prickarna i bakgrunden.
